Medical Office Team Lead

Ravines Medical Group has immediate opening for full-time Medical Office Team Lead who is inspired by contributing to health and wellness of each patient and the community. The Ravines Medical Group operates the following clinics: Elmsdale Medical Centre, Ravines Medical Centre, Timberlea Medical Centre and Spryfield Medical Centre.  This opportunity could be for our Ravines Bedford or Spryfield location.

As a Team Lead with in our Ravines Group you’d be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operations of the clinic runs smoothly for both patients, staff and clinicians. This position works closely with a Clinic Director of Operations and will manage other administrative staff. Responsibilities include following standard medical administrative processes, ensuring MSI billings and non-insured services are invoices and collected accurately and timely, while providing administrative support to patients and staff with in the Medical Centre.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Creating an environment that is welcoming and warm to the patients and staff
  • Dealing effectively with patient inquiries by reviewing and researching concerns or complaints and recommending corrective action as appropriate.
  • Building relationships with all business areas and staff, including admin and clinical
  • Monitor daily performance of front office team members to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently and timely.
  • Assist with team member time off requests, vacations and sick calls.
  • Assist with orientation and training on front office policies and procedures.
  • Maintain adequate front office & Medical supplies. Ensure supply purchases are cost efficient and within the budget. Review and approve supply receipts in conjunction with finance team members.
  • Accurately entering incoming payment and monthly deposit reconciliation while maintain accounts receivables.

The duties listed are subject to change as per the needs of the clinic and will be discussed by the receptionist and the Director of Clinic as changes occur.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
  • Graduation from a college diploma program in a related field is an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette
  • High degree of organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • A “self-starter” with an ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer and data entry skills Experience with EMR (TELUS Health Med Access) would be considered an asset.
